He worked and delivered projects in a time when classic, details, and workmanship were important. Outside of the area he is known for such projects as the Davenport Hotel in Spokane, the Ranier Club in Seattle and many other significant properties. He is often called by architectural historians as the most significant architect in Washington State's history.
